Border and Moulding

Border, listello and skirting cut to the layout
Cut to the layout rather than to a catalogue length, so the border meets the field at the right corner and the grain in the border runs with the grain in the floor. A skirting is cut to the wall run, and the joint is the part that shows, so the skirting is taken from the same slab as the floor it meets.
Finish: Polished, Honed, Brushed, Leathered

Column and Column Cover

Column shaft or a cover cut to the column, grain running the height
A cover cut to the existing column, or a square shaft made up from pieces of one slab. The grain is set to run the height of the column, which means the slab is cut across the bed for this job rather than along it. 20 mm is standard; 30 mm is available where the column is freestanding and the edge is seen.
Finish: Polished, Honed, Brushed

Feature Panel

Large single-piece panel, cut to a feature wall or a reception desk front
One piece, as large as the block allows, with no joint in the figure. A 2400 × 1600 mm slab gives a single panel of that size; a wall wider than the slab is book-matched, and the match is chosen by the buyer rather than by us. This is the form where the straight vein is the whole point, so the slab is selected against the drawing before it is cut.
Finish: Polished, Honed, Leathered

Fireplace Surround

Surround and hearth cut to the opening
Cut to the opening, with the grain running across the face of the surround rather than up it, because a straight line across the width of a fireplace is what reads as stone and not as timber. The hearth is a separate piece and takes a different cut from the same slab.
Finish: Polished, Honed, Brushed, Leathered

Medallion and Inlay

Water-jet cut inlay, so the grain is turned and read as figure
Water-jet cut from slab offcuts, which is why the piece can be turned: a slice across the grain reads as a figure rather than as lines. The pattern is set to the room, and the pieces are matched by hand before they are numbered for assembly. 10 mm and 12 mm are the thicknesses that make a water-jet piece practical to install.
Finish: Polished, Honed, Tumbled

Veneer Sheet

Thin sheet for vertical surfaces where the substrate cannot take full thickness
A 10 mm sheet, cut thin and backed for the substrate, for a wall that cannot take 18 mm. The grain reads the same as on a full-thickness panel because the stone is the same — what changes is the edge, which is the one thing a thin sheet cannot hide. 10 mm is also the thickness that decides the container: a 20-foot container holds roughly 950 m² at 10 mm against roughly 450 m² at 20 mm.
Finish: Polished, Honed

Wall Panel

Cladding panel cut to the wall, with the grain running one way
Panels are cut from one slab so the grain continues across the wall rather than restarting at every joint. Full-height panels come from the 2400 × 1600 mm slab; anything taller is book-matched from two. Thickness is 18 mm or 20 mm, and 12 mm is made to order for a substrate that cannot take more. Flatness tolerance ±0.3 mm, diagonal ±1 mm.
Finish: Polished, Honed, Brushed, Leathered
