When should a project order Coffee Wood Marble?

Allow the normal stone lead time and order the material after the fixing design is settled, not before. The figure has to be chosen across the whole surface, so the layout has to exist before the slab is cut, and cutting cannot be undone.
A row of roughly six squared stone blocks standing in the sand at the foot of a quarry, each one cut flat and marked with a red number on its face. Behind them the quarry is cut into benches up the hillside, and wind turbines stand on the ridge above under a blue sky.

A quarry face with the beds marked up by hand in coloured paint. Reading from the top the marks say: 1 white vein, 2 elegant black, 3 grey wood grain, 4 coffee, 5 elegant black, 6 elegant black, 7 black and white, with the red outline around the overburden at the top of the face. Coffee Wood Marble is the fourth bed down.

The figures, and where each one comes from

Stage What has to be decided Lead time to allow
Specification The form, thickness and finish 0 — this is free
Sourcing The block and the grading About two weeks to a month
Cutting and polishing Slab selection and cutting Three to four weeks
Shipping Sailing from the Chinese port Depends on the destination

Why it behaves the way it does

The order is not for stone, it is for a figure. The slab is chosen against the elevation, and the elevation is a drawing. Ordering before the drawing is settled means the figure is chosen by whatever happens to be at the front of the yard.

What these figures are, and what they are not

We publish no delivery promise, because a promise needs a destination, a quantity and a drawing. Send those three and we will give you a date.

If you are specifying this

We have not published products against this question yet. Send us the process, thickness and quantity and we will quote it against what we can actually form, rather than against a catalogue.
