How do I get a sample of Coffee Wood Marble?

Ask for one, and say which form you are choosing so that the sample is the right thing to look at. A sample of a polished board tells you the figure and the colour; it does not tell you how a slab reads at 2.4 metres.
A row of roughly six squared stone blocks standing in the sand at the foot of a quarry, each one cut flat and marked with a red number on its face. Behind them the quarry is cut into benches up the hillside, and wind turbines stand on the ridge above under a blue sky.

A quarry face with the beds marked up by hand in coloured paint. Reading from the top the marks say: 1 white vein, 2 elegant black, 3 grey wood grain, 4 coffee, 5 elegant black, 6 elegant black, 7 black and white, with the red outline around the overburden at the top of the face. Coffee Wood Marble is the fourth bed down.

Reference photographs. They show the material and the finish; they are not photographs of goods we made, and the colour on screen is not a colour-match.

The figures, and where each one comes from

What you are deciding The sample that answers it
The colour and the figure A cut board, one of the three
The finish A board finished as the floor will be
How a slab reads over a wall A photograph of the actual slab, or a visit
How the figure runs A cut board with the grain direction marked

Why it behaves the way it does

The three boards are photographed side by side on the quarry page, and that photograph is the right thing for a first decision. It is not the right thing for a wall, because the figure is read over a distance and a 300 millimetre board is not read that way.

What these figures are, and what they are not

We supply samples. We do not charge for one, and we do not ask for a project before we send one.

If you are specifying this

We have not published products against this question yet. Send us the process, thickness and quantity and we will quote it against what we can actually form, rather than against a catalogue.
