The darkest of the three boards. The base is a deep warm brown and the veins run across it in straight even lines, close enough together that the surface reads as timber grain rather than as a pattern.
This is the board that does the work of wood. Cut into a wall panel or a set of floor planks, the figure carries from one piece to the next, and the stone takes a polish that a timber surface cannot.
Slabs come off the saw at 18 mm and 20 mm; 30 mm is made to order where the edge is seen. One 20-foot container holds roughly 450 m² of 20 mm slab.
